Struggling to pack for your summer road trip to Sheboygan? For me, Summer is about surviving the heat. But even when it is in the 70's and 80's that doesn't mean you can't rock a super cute look! This packing guide can help you pack for any summer road trip you’ll take this year.
Here's what you'll need!
Essentials
Sun Hat: I think hats are so fun! Not only do they protect my face from the rays, but they’re stylish.
Sunglasses: Of course, you’ll want sunglasses. Opt for some with UVA and UVB protection for your eyes.
Sandals + Booties: You’ll want a pair of sandals for casual and comfortable days, and booties that you can dress up!
Sneakers: A pair of trainers is a must for any potential hikes or workouts along your road trip.
Bikinis: I’d recommend bringing 2-3 swimsuits, especially if you plan on being in the water a lot.
Light Outfits
I love wearing lighter clothes in Sheboygan because if there isn't a nice breeze off the lake it can get toasty. But, if it does get a little chilly you can always layer up. Like my mom always says, "it's easier to put on layers than try and take off layers." Here are my top options what picking outfits.
Sundress: Come on, these are a must in summer. They’re easy to throw on and go. Pair with a jacket in case a breeze picks up during the day.
Maxi Dress: Maxi dresses are great for longer days, because they’re comfortable and can work for many occasions. Pair with a hat and you have a cute outfit in minutes.
Romper: For really warm days, I opt for a romper over a maxi dress.
Activewear: Bring at least one activewear outfit if you plan to do any hiking or adventurous day excursions. Leggings are perfect for active days or simply lounging around.
Tops and Bottoms
Shorts: I wear cloth shorts the most during my road trips since they are amazingly comfortable!
Skirts: What could be easier than slipping on a skirt on a hot day.
Tank Tops: Again, you’ll want comfortable basics that you can mix and match with bottoms. Tank tops are great for layering.
T-Shirts: Comfortable and cute t-shirts pair great with any denim bottom and are perfect for a day for driving.
Blouses: I always bring a few blouses to mix and match with my shoes, pants and jackets. You’ll want comfortable and lightweight fabrics.
