Sometimes you just need to get out of the house, change the scenery, and get your caffeine fix. Sheboygan has a number of coffee shops around town that have vibrant or relaxing atmospheres. Let me help you find Sheboygan coffee shops that are easy to get to and more importantly ones you'll vibe with the most.
Bestea
Hello Bestea! I am already obsessed with this little bubble tea cafe that had its grand opening in Sheboygan! This cute little shop with its contemporary chic decor is located on Michigan Avenue. The decor is adorable and the teas are even better! Bestea serves a large selection of hot, iced, and blended bubble teas. They include five milk teas, six fruit teas, and seven blended teas. During my visit a friend and I tried their Taro Freeze and a Thai Tea.
Cafe at JMKAC
Did you know the Arts Center has a cafe on-site? Enjoy a delicious lunch, coffee, tea, or a soft drink. Sip on a cup of Joe as you sit on the back patio or walk through the museum and experience world-class exhibitions. My personal favorite is walking through the various washrooms. Each one is an original art piece and every time I walk in I see something different on the walls that I never saw before. You can even walk around outside and enjoy the gardens.
Eb Flo Coffeehouse
Eb Flo is located towards the end of South Pier Drive. They pair great food like petit baguettes, soups, croffles, and breakfast choices like yogurt parfaits and toast with a great cup of coffee or tea. Their spacious area has plenty of seating options for you. They feature historical Sheboygan photos and art pieces that capture the feel of Lake Michigan. Their outdoor deck and fireplace area will be the perfect spot in summer to sit and watch passing boats.
Field to Fork
I wouldn't say Field to Fork is a traditional coffee shop in Sheboygan. It is first and foremost a restaurant, but its coffee roastery adds to the experience. Pair your coffee with breakfast or lunch in downtown Sheboygan from 7 am-3 pm Monday through Saturday! Try their in-house bakery or fresh-pressed juice bar. Their ingredients come from Wisconsin’s local farmers and producers. You’ll see me returning to try dishes that include fresh eggs, vegetables, meats, and much more.
Johnston's Bakery
Johnston’s Bakery is a local bakery with a wide variety of pastries, bread, as well as a hot cup-of-Joe (or ice if you prefer). Grab a chair and stay a while! Savor a refreshing drink with a freshly baked donut or cookie. Besides the traditional espresso, cappuccino, latte, and mocha, Johnston’s Bakery also carries hot specialty drinks perfect for when cooler weather sets in.
La Tamaulipeca
I’ve been meaning to visit La Tamaulipeca for a while now and not long ago I finally stopped by to grab a salted caramel iced coffee. It’s a great little spot on Union Ave to grab Mexican snacks, coffee, smoothies, milkshakes, and quick bites like crepes! Although I wasn't able to snack on any treats this time I will definitely return to pick one or two.
LushICE
New Life Coffeehouse
New Life Coffeehouse is a Christian coffee house offering hot and cold drinks, smoothies, salads, wraps, sandwiches, and more with indoor and outdoor dining with the Sheboygan River as a wonderful backdrop. You might even find a good book to read from next door at Sonlight Books that you'll enjoy over the course of the afternoon.
Paradigm Coffee & Music
Paradigm Coffee & Music is a hip café, decorated with old recycled bikes and a rustic theme, is located on 8th Street and has come to be one of the locals’ and my favorite. When I visit, it is a prime place to kick-back and lose track of time while I fill my belly.
Immediately as you walk in, take a whiff and absorb the aroma of fresh brewed coffees while also catching the smells of fresh pastries like cinnamon rolls, scones, pies, and many more. It is a place with relaxing vibes and, if you’re lucky enough, a place where you can see a live music performance while you sip on wine or beer.
Weather Center Cafe
The Weather Center Cafe is a locally- owned treasure located on the riverfront boardwalk in Sheboygan. With its reasonable prices, it is a great place to sample and share its healthy breakfast, lunch, dinner, and coffee options. If you have a sweet tooth they offer an impressive array of mile-high quiche, baklava, spanakopita, and other baked goods.
The café offers a charming, quirky, fun ambiance inside. But, I fell in love with their soothing waterfront patio with outdoor seating. The water is entrancing and you have a chance to watch numerous charter boats glide in and out of the harbor.
