If you ask anyone from Wisconsin they will most likely be able to tell you what a cheese curd is and stress that you “have to try one.” For those of you that do not know what a cheese curd is there are actually two types; deep fried, which are covered with a batter similar to one used for onion rings, and fresh solid pieces of curdled milk, which are sometimes referred to as “squeaky cheese“.
