What are Cannabidiol (CBD) infused products?

CBD oil is made from extracting CBD from the cannabis plant, then diluting it with a carrier oil like coconut or hemp seed oil. The concentrations and the uses of these oils vary.

Is CBD marijuana?

Cannabis is a family of plants with two primary classifications — Indica and Sativa. Hemp and Marijuana are species of Cannabis that are both members of the Cannabis Sativa family. However, Hemp and Marijuana are not the same thing! Due to each plant’s biological structure, they have several very distinct and crucial differences.

Marijuana contains both Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and Cannabidiol (CBD), but these compounds have very different effects. THC is the most active ingredient in marijuana. It is the chemical that causes the sensation of getting “high.”

CBD is different!! Unlike THC, it is not psychoactive meaning that it does not change a person’s state of mind when they use it.

Because Hemp naturally contains a very low concentration of THC (0.3% or less), it is legal in most parts the world and is primarily used for industrial purposes.
