GETTING TO THE TOWER

Parnell Tower is located at ( W7876 Co Rd U, Plymouth, WI 53073 ) and is open from 6AM – 11PM.

ASCENDING THE TOWER

Climb 60 feet to the top of this wooden observation tower.  Photograph the changing leaves from the highest point of elevation in the Kettle Moraine State Forest. On a clear day, one can see about 25 miles in any direction. Make sure to take a moment to enjoy the panoramic view of the forest and surrounding farmland before running down the steps to the woodland hiking trials. The Parnell Tower Trail is a 3.5-mile loop that overlaps with a segment of the Ice Age National Trail. The tower is a favorite stop for hikers and backpackers along the trail.

UP UP UP THE STAIRS WE GO

If you’re scared of heights this journey may be a challenge, but hang in there, the destination is worth the somewhat terrifying climb.

WHAT DID WE FIND AT THE TOP OF PARNELL TOWER?

One might expect to find magnificent views at the top of Parnell Tower, but if your lucky thats not all you will find. All it takes is an open eye and a bit of luck.

The view at the top was amazing, it almost couldn’t get better, and then it did..out of the corner of my eye i could see something on the railing..could it be? Yes, it was..a Sheboygan Rock!

CAN YOU FIND A SHEBOYGAN ROCK?

If you find one, take a picture, post it on the Sheboygan Rocks Facebook Page, and re-hide the Rock in Sheboygan. Rocks are hidden all around town. Hiding spots could include under park benches, in flower planters, by trees or light posts, or any number of other places around Sheboygan.
