Join us at Bookworm Gardens this summer for our NEW Twilight Picnic on Fridays July 17, July 31 and August 14.
Stroll through the grounds as the sunset reflects across the Pond, bring a picnic blanket to spread out in the Magic Treehouse, and sip an artisanal cocktail as you explore the midsummer blooms. Each admission includes a delicious gourmet picnic box filled with charcuterie inspired by the season and exclusive after-hours access to the Gardens. Boxes include a generous assortment of charcuterie, cheeses, fresh fruit and vegetables, desserts, breads and more, and are adorned with fresh edible flowers and herbs grown at the Gardens. Perfect for a date night, girls night, or small group gathering. Wine, beer, and seasonal cocktails available for purchase. Join us on Friday, July 17, July 31 and August 14 starting at 5:30 or 7 PM. Pre-registration required. No walk-ins allowed. Adults only, age 21+.

What’s in the box?
We have carefully curated an assortment of savory and sweet goodies (meats, cheeses, breads, dips, salty snacks, fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables and delicious dessert items. Boxes will change slightly with the seasons. The event photo is meant to be representative of the types of goodies that your box will contain but is not an exact replica.
What about allergies? Do you offer vegetarian options?
Our facilities and picnic boxes contain nuts, wheat and dairy products. We are able to substitute extra cheese for the meat, and can also adjust the contents for pork-free diets, but we are not able to offer any other substitutions or alternate menus. Please contact us if you have any concerns.
How long is the event? What time should I arrive?
We have a set number of picnic boxes available for sale at two entry times: 5:30 PM or 7 PM. Please arrive as close to your ente as ry time as you’re able. Once onsite, you may stay until event end (9 PM).
Where can I picnic?
You can picnic anywhere in the Gardens, as long as you maintain physical distancing of at least 6 feet from other parties. Please feel free to bring a picnic blanket or use one of our benches. Please be respectful of our plant friends and choose a location that will not harm our plants.
Can I bring my own drinks?
Outside alcohol is not permitted. You can purchase wine, beer, seasonal cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages in the Secret Garden and carry them to your picnic location. Cash accepted, credit cards preferred.
Is there anything I should bring?
You will not receive a physical ticket, but please come with your emailed receipt of purchase. You may bring a picnic blanket if you choose. Mosquito repellent and appropriate outerwear for inclement weather is also advised.
What is the cancellation policy?
There are no refunds for picnics. If you are unable to attend, please contact email@example.com before 12 PM on the day of your picnic and we can arrange for a curbside pickup of your box or help you reschedule for another date. In the case of severe weather, the Gardens will cancel picnics and you can get curbside pickup (with admission passes for a future visit) or reschedule to another date.
Are there guidelines I should know about?
You can help us keep Bookworm beautiful by leaving your picnic area clean. Garbage receptacles will be available throughout the property. Please maintain 6 feet of distance between your picnic party and other attendees. Masks are not required, but are recommended. Learn more about our 2020 covid updates.
